Juliana Chow New York

I am finally home! The past three weeks in The Big Apple has been incredibly exciting. I hope you followed along the journey on social media! For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to go to New York City, and when I finally got the chance, I took it.

I have learned and experienced so much, that it’s really no surprise that I was so exhausted every time we came back to the hotel. The new impressions all around definitely consumed a lot of your energy through the day. I discovered so many cool areas and small cafés, which will all be shared in a New York City guide coming up within the next couple of days.

I wish I would have had more time to write about November’s blog theme, which is why I will continue on with the confidence posts here and there, besides the usual posts. It will all end in a big surprise (so watch out for it!).

Here is one of my favorite looks from the trip shot in the streets of Manhattan. I’ve been loving these trousers ever since I bought them, and I was super lucky to find a shirt that matched the exact color on one of the many shopping sprees we were on. I paired the look with some leather over the knee boots. The outfit is comfortable and sporty, without trying too hard, aka casual chic, if I may.

  1. Hi Juliana! The lighting in these pictures is amazing! I can’t wait to check out your city guide to see what sorts of things you experienced on your trip. Cheers!

    • I’m totally obsessed with NYC too after this trip! ?Yes, we spent Thanksgiving and I got to be there on Black Friday (which luckily wasn’t as chaotic as I’d imagined!). I saw the crazy Christmas decorations on the Saks Fifth Avenue building, and the tree at Rockefeller, though we missed the tree lightning that’s happening tonight! ?Other than that, I think we saw it all, and I loved it.

  2. Wow!! That sunlight = amazing!!
You are gorgeous and the outfit is great! So excited for you that you realized your dream of visiting NYC. I live in the states and have yet to go! It’s on my list! — Amy @ https://thegiftedgabber.com

    • Aww, thank you!! Yes, it’s a relief to get that off my bucket list! I met so many people in NY that asked me what it was like in Europe because they’ve never been outside the states (which really is no wonder, because the country is HUGE). Still for me, it seems so odd that they were so interested in what it’s like in Europe because I’ve personally always been so interested in the US. Guess that’s how it is when you live in two different continents, haha! ?

    • I live in Europe too, and before I went to NY I had never been outside of Europe! Sure, the flight was a bit long, but besides that I found that it’s really not that difficult to get around the world 🙂 Nowadays, plane tickets are so cheap from what they used to, especially if you go off-season. Once you go, the world will seem much smaller, and more approachable!

    • Thank you! ☺️ I’m not an expert at using filters and editing colors in Photoshop (I use mostly use that for graphic design), so I actually export the photos onto my iPhone, and edit them in VSCOcam. It sounds complicated, but I find editing the photos on my phone makes the process so much easier (+ a faster way to post them on Instagram too)!

    • Aww thanks so much, you’re too kind! ? We were so lucky to catch the sunlight from the perfect angle. It took some time with a lot of people walking by staring at us, haha. It was worth it, though, and I’m glad you like the photos.

    • Thank you! I’m glad you like them. Yes, NY is incredible, and there is still so much that I didn’t get to see. I’ll definitely be back soon! ?

  3. As usual your photos are gorgeous! Where are the pants from? Theyre awesome, I’m always hunting for the perfect pair of black trousers but I have yet to find them, those look like they may be it!

    • Thank you, Karina! ?The pants are from ZARA, but I don’t think they are available anymore. Though do check out ZARA anyway, because they always carry fitted pants similar to these ones, that in comes in many different styles. Hope that helps!
